Ko wai Māua?
Ko Rebekah rāua ko Jess — tuakana, teina, māmā, hoa pakihi, hoa ngangare hoki some times 😂
Hiwa & Awa Co. started with two pēpi (Awariki & Hiwa), born four days apart, and two very tired sisters with big dreams and bigger hair buns.
We wanted more than just cute baby things we wanted meaningful, Māori- and Pasifika-inspired taonga that celebrate who we are, and where we come from. Stuff that makes you feel seen as a māmā, even if your shirt’s inside out and you’ve reheated your coffee three times.
Designed right here in Aotearoa, our products are made to grow with your pēpi, honour your wairua, and care for Papatūānuku too.
Whenua-friendly, whānau-friendly, and māmā-approved (by us, obviously).
Mā te aroha, mā te wairua, mā te whakapapa. That’s us.
And we can’t wait to share our world with yours.

We are a whānau run pakihi led by two sisters, part of a big whānau of six tamāhine. Our whakapapa connects us to both the North (Pakotai) and the East Coast (Matatā).
We believe in giving back to our community, a principle evident in our daily mahi as a kaiako and Registered Nurse. When we are not busy with mahi, we cherish time with our whānau and friends. Between us both, we have seven awesome tamariki.
“We want to show our tamariki that with hard work and focus on what fuels your wairua, you will always succeed in whatever you set out to achieve.”
We cant wait to share our Pakihi with you and your whānau
Nga mihi nui
Rebekah and Jessica
